Manual

Important Note: Read and follow all safety instructions before attempting to fill or refill a butane lighter. Always perform these steps in a well-ventilated area, away from open flames, and keep away from children. This is ONLY to be used as a general guide to fill our gas lighters.

1. Gather Materials:

  • Butane fuel canister
  • Butane lighter
  • Screwdriver (or something to twist the valve in order to adjust flame size)

2. Locate the Re-fill Valve:

  • Identify the refill valve on the bottom of the lighter. It's usually a small nozzle designed to fit the butane canister tip.

3. Position the Lighter:

  • Place the lighter on a stable surface with the refill valve facing up.

4. Purge the Lighter:

  • Before (re-)filling, release any remaining gas from the lighter by pressing the nozzle with a small tool (like a toothpick) until you no longer hear hissing. If this is your first time filling the lighter, there may be no hissing sound but still attempt to purge just in case.

5. Shake Butane Canister:

  • Shake the butane canister for a few seconds to ensure proper mixing of the gas.

6. Connect Butane Canister:

  • Align the butane canister nozzle with the refill valve on the lighter and press down firmly. The butane will start flowing into the lighter.

7. Fill the Lighter:

  • Hold the lighter and canister steady for about 5-10 seconds to allow the butane to fill the lighter. Do not overfill.

8. Check for Leaks:

  • After filling, wait for a few seconds and then check for leaks by listening for any hissing sounds. If you detect a leak, stop the immediately and throw the lighter out. Contact us in case this happens.

9. Adjust Flame Height (Optional):

  • If you desire, use the flame height adjustment screw to set the desired flame height. Make sure to not over-twist the valve as this will cause the valve to pop and it will break the lighter.

10. Wait Before Igniting:

  • Allow the butane to settle for a few minutes before attempting to ignite the lighter.

11. Test the Lighter:

  • Attempt to ignite the lighter to ensure it is working properly. Adjust the flame height if needed.
